Artisan and designer

Lise Eggers creates sculptural objects and functional designs in glass, in her workshop in central Copenhagen.

"I am fascinated by natures principles for building pattern and form. By taking inspiration from the natural world, a starting point can be a waterdrop, a snowflake or the structures in a leaf.

When making sculptural work, I mainly use kilncasting and cire perdue technique. The latest series of sculptural works 'FORGRENINGER' (Branching) 2022, explores fractal networks in nature and the concept of branching as seen in the growth of trees.

The design collections range from ornaments in upcycled window glass with patterns engraved by hand, to functional tableware series in blown glass, all made in limited editions.
